Rodrigo Flores de Valdez Carballo (del Valle)
He was born circa 1585. His father was Juan Alvaro Flores de Valdez, and his mother was Alfonsa Carballo. First mention in PM 12 Jan 1603. Was secretary of Monterrey in 1603, 1604, 1605, 1611, 1612 ,1614. Secretary in Saltillo, 1617Some of the records he wrote contained various words in Portugese. Entered Nuevo Leon with Carvajal according to Duaine (source - del Hoyo?), but not on Raphael's list of passengers that came with Carvajal. Duaine also says he was probably born in Mexico.
Marriage
He married Maria Isabel de Salazar y Treviño, daughter of Pedro de Salazar and Maria Isabel de Treviño Quintanilla.
Children
Isabel Flores de Valdez. She married Juan Martinez Guajardo, son of Juan Francisco Martinez Guajardo and Ursula Ines Catarina Navarro Rodriguez in 1622. She married Diego Flores de Abrego, son of Pedro Flores and Melchora Gutierrez de Abrego.
Alvaro Flores de Valdez. He married Melchora Ramos de Arriola, daughter of Juan Ramos de Arriola and Maria Melendez. He married _Guajardo?.
Diego Flores de Valdez. He married Maria de Abrego, daughter of Domingo Gonzalez and Maria de Abrego.
Francisca Flores de Valdez (del Valle). She married Juan de Caliz Coy, son of Bernardo de los Santos Coy and Beatriz Rojo de las Ruelas. Her husband died on 22 Jul 1699 in Saltillo. He was 89 years old.
Luisa Flores de Valdez (del Valle). She married Lucas de Farias, son of Juan de Farias and Isabel Rodriguez. She married Joseph de la Fuente, son of Domingo de la Fuente and Francisca Martinez Guajardo Rodriguez.
Miguel Flores de Valdez. He married Maria Gomez, daughter of Juan Gomez Mascorro and Mariana Martinez. He married Maria Magdalena Maldonado, daughter of Pedro Maldonado.
Nicolas Flores de Valdez. He married Maria de la Peña .

Pedro Flores de Valdez. He married Mariana Duarte Madoma.
Ana del Valle. She married Diego de Ayala Treviño, son of Jose de Treviño and Leonor de Ayala Valverde. Her husband died on 25 Dec 1682 in Monterrey. He was 72 years old.
Maria del Valle. She married Pedro de las Santos Rojo Ruelas, son of Bernardo de los Santos Coy and Beatriz Rojo de las Ruelas.
Clara del Valle. She married Diego Saenz, son of Miguel Saenz and Ana de Treviño.
Juan Flores de Valdez, born 1612. He married Francisca de Cepeda de la Fuente, daughter of Ambrosio de Cepeda Caballero and Juana de la Fuente Martinez.
