Birth

He was born circa 1722. His father was Martin Izaguirre, and his mother was Juana Hernandez.

Marriage

He married Antonia Ramirez, daughter of Jose Cristobal Ramirez and Maria Antonia Arredondo. Her father owned Revilla 17 grant, Zapata County.

He married Gertrudis Vela, daughter of Lazaro Vela and Maria Antonia Garcia. It was his second marriage. Her father owned Mier 57 grant.

Maria Lucia Izaguirre, born 1761. She married Jose Maria Garcia, son of Joaquin Garcia and Rosalia Salinas on 3 Apr 1780 in Mier.

Maria Rita Izaguirre, born 1763. She married Jose Vicente Garcia, son of Joaquin Garcia and Rosalia Salinas on 1 Feb 1784 in Mier. Their padrino was Apolinario Garcia, and their madrina was Maria Ignacia.

Maria Antonia de la Encarnacion Izaguirre, baptized 2 Apr 1767 in Mier. She married Jose Miguel Ramirez, son of Jose Cristobal Ramirez and Maria Matiana Hinojosa on 3 Jan 1783 in Mier. Their padrino was Juan Antonio Canales, and their madrina was Maria de los Santos Garcia.

Maria Norberta Izaguirre, baptized 17 Jun 1769. She married Jose Salvador Ramos, son of Pedro Eufracio Ramos and Maria Teodora Canales on 1 Dec 1801.

Jose Manuel Izaguirre, born 1771. He married Maria Dorotea Gonzalez, daughter of Jose Marcelino Gonzalez and Maria Gertrudis Ramos on 3 Mar 1791.

Land Ownership

He purchased Mier 55. Seabury papers contain an abstract of title for this tract associated with J P Izaguirre. When/if this tranfer took place is not certain. In 1787 there was a ranch occupied by the original grantee's daughter Josefa Leal and her husband Antonio Ramirez, but by 1791 they had moved to Rancho Miguel Perez on the San Juan River.

In 1767, he was granted Mier 56 by the King of Spain. In 1767 there was an improved rancho at the site.

 

 

Death

He died on 15 Nov 1802. He was 80 years old.
