Marcelino Hinojosa was born circa 1721, the son of Jose Manuel Hinojosa and Maria Inez Chapa.

Land

In 1767, as the son of a primitivo poblador, he was granted Mier 30 by the King of Spain. There was stock and a ranch at the site. Marcelino Hinojosa did not live in Mier but petitioned for the tract and said he would reside in the district.

Household (Mier, 1782)

In 1782, he lived in Mier. He owned Rancho Malahueco but did not live there. The church census recorded that he was married, español, and 58 years old. The priest referred to him with the title Don. His household included 4 people:
