In 1836, Antonio Garcia was granted Randado by the State of Tamaulipas.
In 1836, as the brother-in-law of the original grantee, Jose Maria Barrera purchased one-half of Randado from Antonio Garcia. He had settled the tract at the same time. Half the tract was immediately conveyed to him.
