The church census recorded that he was married, español, and 64 years old. His household included 3 people. He owned Porción 45, Mier, Porción 46, Mier.

He married Margarita de la Peña, daughter of Jose Jacinto de la Peña and Ana Maria Guajardo. Her mother owned Porción 48, Mier.

Jose Joaquin Chapa, born 1754. He married Maria Tomasa Baez de Benavides, daughter of Cristobal Javier Baez de Benavides and Maria Rita Cuellar on 13 Feb 1776 in Revilla. He died on 21 Sep 1802. He was 48 years old.
Jose Santiago Chapa, born 1757. He married Juana Hinojosa, daughter of Gervacio Hinojosa and Teresa Treviño on 28 Jan 1777 in Mier.
