Baltasar Castaño de Sosa
He was born circa 1537. He died in 1595 in Saltillo. He was 58 years old. Early resident of Saltillo. Received a land grant of two caballerias in 1577, and 1580 served as councilman for the municipality of Saltillo. Possible brother of Gaspar Castaño de Sosa, who led an illegal expedition into New Mexico and was eventually executed by the Inquisition for Judaizing.

Maria Rodriguez de Sosa, born 1549. She married Juan Navarro , son of Juan Navarro and Maria Navarro.
Diego Rodriguez, born 1567. He married Sebastiana de Treviño, daughter of Juan de Farias and Maria Ana de Treviño Quintanilla.
Lucas Garcia, born 1576. He married Juliana Farias de Quintanilla, daughter of Juan de Farias and Maria Ana de Treviño Quintanilla.
