Juan Jose Guerra was baptized on 7 Feb 1785 in Mier, the son of Jose Silverio Guerra and Maria Guadalupe Barrera.
He married Maria Juana Hinojosa on 12 Aug 1816.

In 1835 he was granted El Tule by the State of Tamaulipas.
