In 1852 Rafael Hinojosa applied for confirmation of San Rafael de los Encinos from the State of Texas. Rafael Hinojosa applied to the Bourland and Miller commission on behalf of himself and other heirs of Marcelo Hinojosa and Santos Garcia.
