He was born circa 1736. His father was Antonio de la Garza, and his mother was Margarita de la Serna. In 1750, he lived in Camargo. The census recorded that he was the son of a settler, and 14 years old. His household had 12 people, and they received government aid to move to the colony. sold porcion 73 to Josefa Guajardo

In 1769, as the son of an antiguo poblador, he was granted Camargo 73 by the King of Spain.

In 1778, his heirs sold Camargo 73 to Josefa Guajardo. Deed not executed until 1798. Seabury and Escobar, Family Tree Book, p.344; Sáenz Ramírez, Protocolos de Camargo, p.261.

In 1796, he sold Camargo 75 to Juan Bautista Villarreal.
