He was born circa 1684. His father was Sgt. Major Francisco de la Garza Falcon, and his mother was Leonor Sepulveda Renteria.
Marriage
In 1707, he requested a dispensation to marry Josefa de la Garza. They were married on 6 Jul 1707 in Monterrey. He was 23 years old. Dispensation source: Guerra, et. al., Index to the Marriage Investigations of the Diocese of Guadalajara, p.193. His wife died on 13 May 1714 in Monterrey.
He married Manuela Guerra, daughter of Ignacio Guerra Cañamar and Catarina Fernandez in 1715. He was 31 years old, and the bride was 32 years old. It was his second marriage, and her second marriage. Date between 1714 - 1717.
Children
Jose Elias de la Garza, baptized 24 Jun 1708. In 1734, he requested a dispensation to marry Maria Josefa Gonzalez Hidalgo.
Ana Josefa de la Garza, baptized 29 Jan 1713 in Monterrey. In 1736, she requested a dispensation to marry Francisco Guerra. She married Diego Hinojosa, son of Diego Hinojosa Cantu and Maria Josefa de la Garza y Diaz Molina. Her husband died before 1750. He was 50 years old.
