In 1809, Alejandro Farias was granted San Jose by the King of Spain.
In 1835, Pedro de la Garza Treviño purchased San Jose from Alejandro Farias for 500 pesos.
In 1852, The heirs of Pedro de la Garza Treviño applied for confirmation San Jose from the State of Texas. The original title was lost in a shipwreck.
