Original Grantee: Antonio de la Garza
In 1767, as a recent agregado, Antonio de la Garza was granted Camargo 19 by the King of Spain. This is may be the same Antonio de la Garza who had a rancho at La Mision in 1757; however, he is described as a recent agregado. He is probably not the Antonio de la Garza who was a primitivo poblador. [1] The location at porcion 19 seems likely because both the tract and the mission lands were adjacent to Camargo ejidos, on the San Juan river. [1]Also probably not Antonio de la Garza Falcon, son of Blas de la Garza Falcon, founding captain of Camargo. Greaser says he was "formerly a servant who had accumulated sufficient stock of his own to merit a grant of land".
