Dionicio Ramirez was granted Reynosa 77 by the King of Spain. The tract was originally assigned to Pedro Flores, but Flores refused it because it was on the north side of the river, so Capt. Juan Jose Hinojosa assigned it to Dionicio Ramirez, whose widowed mother, the wife of a primitivo poblador, had gathered her stock at this place.
