He was born circa 1700. His father was Pedro Garcia de Rivera, and his mother was Maria Marquez Verano.
Marriage
On 15 Jun 1722, he requested a dispensation to marry Felipa Camacho Maldonado. They were married on 12 Oct 1722 in Monclova. He was 22 years old, and the bride was 21 years old. It was her second marriage. Their padrino was Jose Joaquin de Urrutia y Ecay Muzquiz, and their madrina was Rosa de Yruegas. Witnesses were Pedro Gil and Pedro Valdez. Maria Josepha Garcia de Rivera, born 1730. She married Vicente de Alderete on 9 Aug 1749 in Monclova.
