He was born circa 1748. His father was Domingo Cristobal de Sosa, and his mother was Maria de la Ascencion. His father owned Camargo 41 grant.

In 1750, he lived in Camargo. The census recorded that he was the son of a settler, and 2 years old. His household had 7 people, and they did not receive government aid to move to the colony:
