He was born circa 1735. His father was Jose Cristobal Ramirez, and his mother was Maria Antonia Arredondo. His father owned Porción 17, Revilla, Zapata County. In 1750, he lived in Camargo. The census recorded that he was the son of a settler, español, and 18 years old. His household had 9 people, and they did not receive government aid to move to the colony. He died in Matamoros. a daugter, Ignacia (11 days old), buried at San Fernando church in San Antonio in 1768 (Leal, San Fernando burials)

He married Maria Teresa de la Garza Falcon, daughter of Francisco de la Garza Villarreal and Maria Rita Hinojosa. It was his second marriage. Her father owned Porción 71, Camargo.
