Maria Rita Lopez de Jaen
She was born circa 1724. Her father was Miguel Lopez, and her mother was Ana Maria Hinojosa. In 1750, she lived in Camargo. The census recorded that she was the wife of a settler, and española. Her household had 6 people, and they did not receive government aid to move to the colony. In 1757, she lived in Mier in household number 3. The church census recorded that she was a widow. She was given the tile "Doña". Her household included 7 people, including 6 children. She had 10 tame horses with a herd of 130 horses, 3 yokes of oxen, 30 cattle, and 1000 small livestock. She died after 1790. She was 66 years old.
Marriage
She married Juan Bautista Chapa, son of Jose Nicolas Chapa and Maria Inez Baez de Benavides on 19 Jan 1740 in Cadereyta. She was 16 years old. It was his second marriage. Their padrino was Jose Salinas, and their madrina was Antonia de Chapa. Her husband died before 1757.
She married Juan [Antonio] Miguel Ramirez. It was her second marriage, and his second marriage. He owned Porción 76, Mier. Her husband died after 10 Sep 1777. He was 64 years old.
