Juan Jose de la Garza

He was born circa 1724. His father was Juan Bautista de la Garza, and his mother was Rosa Maria Sanchez Zamora (Herrera). His mother owned land in Porción 27, Camargo. In 1750, he lived in Camargo. The census recorded that he was a bachelor, a soldier, español, and 26 years old. , and they did not receive government aid to move to the colony.

Marriage

He married Maria Gerarda.

Land Ownership

In 1767, as a primitivo poblador, and a surveyor for the Crown during the Visita General of 1767, he was granted Camargo 88 by the King of Spain. Porciones 88 & 89 were switched by agreement.

In 1790, he sold Camargo 88 to Jose Antonio de los Santos Garza. See Camargo protocolos p.324.
