He was born in Cerralvo. His father was Jose Manuel de la Garza, and his mother was Maria Vargas Machuca.
In 1767, as a moderno agregado, he was granted Camargo 64 by the King of Spain. refused possession because the tract did not have the required depth, but must have accepted it eventually because he later sold the tract.
In 1790, he purchased Camargo 88 from Juan Jose de la Garza. See Camargo protocolos p.324.
He sold Camargo 64 to Jose Tomas Adame for 50 pesos. sold "in voce" to Tomas de Adame (prior to 1803), who paid 40 of the 50 pesos. See CP p.324. Purchase was incomplete
In 1807, he sold Camargo 64 to Jose Faustino de Adame for 50 pesos. previous "in voce" purchase by Tomas de Adame completed by his son, Faustino Adame. CP p.396
