In 1767, as an antiguo poblador, Antonio de la Rosa was granted Camargo 85 by the King of Spain. Nicolas Vela took possession on his behalf.
In 1820 Apolinario de la Garza Guerra purchased Camargo 85 from Ines Vela. The widow of the original grantee sold the tract. Three minor children of Antonio Garza Guerra (brother of buyers) and Juan Bautista Garza Treviño were also included in purchase.
