Original Grantee: Francisco Javier Vela
In 1805, Francisco Javier Vela was granted San Antonio Viejo by the King of Spain. He said that "“he had settled it in times of drought despite the dangers of barbaric Indians".
Jose Rafael Peña purchased San Antonio Viejo from Francisco Javier Vela.
In 1852, Jesus Peña applied for confirmation San Antonio Viejo from the State of Texas.
