El Salto

El Salto, seems to have been a recognized geographic feature (falls?), a bend in the San Juan River to the north. Salto is a name that seems associated with the north bank of the river. Though further downriver, the distance in leagues may reflect the fact that it was further north. This was the boundary between the Mier & Camargo jurisdiction.
