He was born in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua. His father was Francisco Xavier Gomez, and his mother was Ana Maria Rodriguez. He died on 20 May 1814 in "Palo Blanco" - probably La Noria de Santo Domingo. Cause of death: killed by indians. He was not buried until Jan 5 the following year. "He was a poor man." His nephew, Benito Garcia, was also killed by Indians and was buried at the same time.
