He was born circa 1742. His father was Ignacio Garcia, and his mother was Francisca Treviño. His father owned land in Porción 20, Camargo. In 1750, he lived in Camargo. The census recorded that he was the son of a settler, español, and 8 years old. His household had 6 people, and they received government aid to move to the colony.
