She was born circa 1740. Her father was Diego Garcia, and her mother was Maria Salome (Jacoba) Vela. Her father owned Porción 78, Camargo. In 1750, she lived in Camargo. The census recorded that she was the daughter of a settler, española, and 10 years old. Her household had 6 people, and they received government aid to move to the colony.
