In 1832 he purchased Rincon de Peñascal from Jose Rafael Ramirez. ID of Rafael Ramirez uncertain. There is also a deed in the Nueces county record book for this transfer from 1846/

In 1852 he applied for confirmation of Rincon de Peñascal from the State of Texas.
