His father was Sgt. Major Francisco de la Garza Falcon, and his mother was Leonor Sepulveda Renteria. He was a resident of Monterrey. In 1744, he established a ranch at Paso de los Moros, near the future site of Revilla, on land belonging to his wife.

Marriage
