Joseph Cavazos was the son of Joseph Cavazos and Jacinta de la Cerda (Fernandez de Castro).
He requested a dispensation to marry Maria Teresa de la Garza in 1732. Dispensation source: Guerra et al., Index to the Marriage Investigations of the Diocese of Guadalajara, p.178.
