He was born circa 1741. His father was Francisco Ignacio Farias, and his mother was Juana Maria Barrera. In 1750, he lived in Camargo. The census recorded that he was the son of a settler, español, and 9 years old. His household had 8 people, and they received government aid to move to the colony.
