Vicente Chapa was the son of Francisco Javier Chapa and Antonia Margarita Guajardo.

In 1767, as an agregado, he was granted Camargo 45 by the King of Spain. Had lived in the settlement two years. His uncle Joaquin Guajardo [1457] took possession on his behalf.
