Antonio Gregorio Sanchez Solis

Birth

He was born circa 1753. His mother was Lugarda Solis. He was a natural child.

Marriage

He married Maria Catarina Guerra, daughter of Ramon Guerra and Rosalia Hinojosa on 16 Nov 1775 in Mier. He was 22 years old, and the bride was 16 years old. Her father owned Mier 6 grant.

Land Ownership

In 1767, he was granted Mier 69 by the King of Spain. He was one of the few landowners who was regarded as casta. He was the natural son of Lugarda Solis, who was also designated casta (his father might have been español). He married a daughter of Ramon Guerra (1592, porcion 6). Once married he was classified as español in the padrones. He lived in town and at Rancho San Lorenzo (porcion 6).
