He was born circa 1728. His father was Juan Francisco Olivares, and his mother was Josefa Benavides. His mother owned Porción 91, Camargo. In 1750, he lived in Camargo. The census recorded that he was the son of a settler, and 22 years old. His household had 4 people, and they received government aid to move to the colony.
He married Maria Lugarda Gonzalez, daughter of Lucas Gonzalez and Ana Maria de la Garza.
