He was born circa 1741. His father was Francisco Lopez de Jaen, and his mother was Maria Agustina Longoria. His father owned land in Porción 12, Camargo. In 1750, he lived in Camargo. The census recorded that he was the son of a settler, español, and 9 years old. His household had 14 people, including 3 servants, and they received government aid to move to the colony.
He married Maria Josefa Cano.

Maria Josefa Lopez de Jaen. She married Juan Jose de la Garza Montemayor, son of Juan de la Garza and Maria Gertrudis Chapa. He owned land in Casa Blanca grant, Porción 13, Camargo, Porción 15, Camargo, Porción 16, Camargo.
In 1767, as the son of a primitivo poblador, he was granted Camargo 15 by the King of Spain.
He sold Camargo 15 to Juan Jose de la Garza Montemayor.
