He married Guadalupe Bazan, daughter of Jose Bazan and Ana Maria Salinas on 19 May 1785 in Mier. He was 24 years old, a native of San Cristobal (jurisdiction of San Luis Potosi), and the bride was 38 years old, a native of Mier, a resident of Mier.
