Nicolas de la Garza
Nicolas de la Garza was born circa 1739, the son of Francisco de la Garza and Maria Candida Garcia Sepulveda.
He married Maria Isabel de la Garza on 28 Nov 1759 in Monterrey.
He married Maria Ignacia de la Cerda in Sep 1771 in Mier.
He married Maria Dorotea Gonzalez on 2 Mar 1785 in Mier.Their padrinos were Pedro Regalado Hinojosa and Maria Josefa Gonzalez.

Maria Rosalia de la Garza was born circa 1761. She married Francisco Vera, who owned Mier 37.
Ygnacio de Jesus de la Garza was born circa 1763. He married Maria Antonia Vera.
Maria Viviana de la Garza was born circa 1766. She married Jose Nepomuceno Resendez.
Maria Francisca de la Garza was born circa 1768.
Juana Josefa de la Garza was born circa 1774.
Maria Anastacia de la Garza was born circa 1775.
Maria Ygnes de la Garza was born circa 1776.
Jose Tomas de la Garza was born circa 1780.
Land
In 1767 he was granted Camargo 66 by the King of Spain. There was a rancho at the site. Possession was not given because he had moved with his stock to the jurisdiction of Monterrey. (Actually moved to Mier - see porcion 39)
In 1780 he was granted Mier 39 by the King of Spain. Settler for 9 years. Originally vacant, assigned in error to Tomas Barrera, then adjudicated to Nicolas de la Garza in 1780.
Household (Mier, 1782)
In 1782, he lived at Rancho (Garza). He was the ranch owner. The church census recorded that he was married, español, and 43 years old. A little over a month after his wife Ignacia died in 1785, he married Dorotea, the daughter of neighbor Alonzo Gonzalez. He was 46 and she was 15 (the padron says 13 but according to baptism records she had just turned 15). His household included 9 people:
