Original Grantee: Antonio Izaguirre

 

In 1831, Antonio Izaguirre was granted Santo Domingo de Arriba by the State of Tamaulipas. The heirs of Jose Maria Flores claimed half of this grant, but had no documents to prove it

In 1836, The heirs of Antonio Izaguirre temporarily abandoned Santo Domingo de Arriba. . Title states: "witnesses prove the occupation and possession of said land from 1831 down to 1836, when he [Antonio Izaguirre] was killed by the Indians, subsequent to which his family left the land and only returned to look after stock from time to time when thought safe to do so".

In 1852, The heirs of Antonio Izaguirre applied for confirmation Santo Domingo de Arriba from the State of Texas.
